JC - Smart Skarns

The Yukon tin properties were staked in October 2005, and comprise four claim groups totalling 32 claims (668 ha) covering tin skarn mineralization, including the JC deposit, in the Smart River area 195km southeast of Whitehorse and 26km north of Kilometre 1,206 on the Alaska Highway.

The JC deposit was extensively explored from 1977-1982 by a syndicate operated by Cominco Ltd. on behalf of Dome Exploration Canada Ltd. (the "DC Syndicate"). At the JC a total of 33 diamond drill holes totalling 3,822m were used to outline a historical resource of 1.25 Mt grading 0.54% tin, using a 0.30% tin cutoff (Layne, 1991; Econ. Geol. Vol. 86). Note: The stated estimate of tin resources at JC is quoted from historical reports prepared prior to the introduction of the current standards for ore resource estimation as defined in National Instrument 43-101. While the historical resource estimate is considered relevant; no details of how it was derived are available; it has not been review by a Qualified Professional and it should not be relied upon. Brett accepts no responsibility for its accuracy.

The 14 claim Smart property covers the known extent of the JC deposit, only one of numerous stanniferous skarns replacing Permian marbles in the vicinity of the Mid-Cretaceous Seagull Batholith. Brett has staked three additional properties within an 8 km radius of the Smart, including the Cass 1-10, Seagull 1-4 and Stan 1-4 claims.

The Cass property overlies the Smith prospect where Dupont of Canada drilled a total of 1,588m in 10 holes between 1980 and 1984, intersecting up to 0.4% tin, 2.0% zinc and 10.2 g/t silver over 2m (Minfile 105B-088).

The Stan property was located to cover the Tin Can showing where surface sampling conducted by the DC Syndicate in 1978-81 returned up to 1.2% tin and 0.5% tungsten oxide across 2.1m (Minfile 105B-085). A magnetic skarn zone at least 365 metres long, open to the west, is coincident with a tin soil anomaly with values up to 85 ppm (Assessment Report 090460).

The Seagull property overlies the CUSP showing where Dupont of Canada drilled 5 holes totalling 914m in 1979-80. Drilling intersected two intervals of 1m that assayed 0.4% and 0.2% tin (Minfile 105B-086). An extensive tin soil anomaly has anomalous zinc (up to 500 ppm) and tin (up to 250 ppm), and covers a 500 m x 500 m area of >20 ppm tin in soils. A larger surrounding area of >10 ppm tin is at least 1000 m x 1500 m. The anomaly is open to the east (Assessment Report 090457). A quartz vein 20 to 40 cm wide over 100 m had 5.40% tin in a grab and 0.61% over 0.7 m. Other veins had tin assays of 1.52% over 0.9 m and 1.40% over 1.2 m (Assessment Report 090457).
